Notary Services

Notary Services

If you need your important paperwork notarized, our notaries are available free of charge. Two notaries are available at both the Pinedale Library and the Big Piney Library.

A notary is appointed by the state government to witness the signing of important documents and administer oaths. If you need legal advice, please consult an attorney. The notary is prohibited from helping you to prepare, complete, or understand legal documents.

Verification Process

Your identity will be verified by a photo ID:

  • Passport
  • Driver’s license
  • Another form of photo identification issued by a federal, state, or tribal government

Before You Arrive

  • Be sure the documents are complete and ready for signature.
  • Do not sign the document(s) until you appear before the notary.
  • Be sure to have all signing parties at the appointment. We cannot notarize documents with multiple signers unless all parties are present.
