The Big Piney Branch Library is located at 346 Fish Street and is the hub for many community activities. It offers a wide range of services including wireless internet, interlibrary loans, an ongoing book sale, art exhibits, children and adult activities, and meeting rooms. Library Closed Saturday, July 4th

The library will be closed on Saturday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

The library will reopen on Monday the 6th.

Be Creative @ Your Library!

The Summer Reading Program this year is Be Creative @ Your Library. Sign up anytime. There are events on June 25, July 2, 9, 16, and 23. July 23 will be the water party! The age group is Kindergarten through 5th grade. All program days start at 10:30am and last about an hour. Sign up your children for some fun filled days at the library!

Story Hour on Thursdays

Every Thursday during the school year the Big Piney Branch Library hosts Story Hour for preschool children and elementary students. A variety of visitors come throughout the school year to entertain and teach the children. The library staff also prepares special meals a few times a year to celebrate holidays. And crafts are always part of the Story Hour adventure. See photos from previous story hour events.

Friends of the Library Events

The Friends of the Big Piney Branch Libary hosts an annual Easter breakfast and basket auction to raise money for the activities provided to the local children. It has been a success since it started nine years ago. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the breakfast, donate baskets for the auction, or donate time and supplies. An Easter egg hunt follows the end of the auction and is held in the livestock arena on the grounds.

The Wyoming Newspapers Project is an online searchable archive of Wyoming's historical newspapers. Over 340 newspapers dating from 1849 to 1922 are now available, with more being added as the project grows.

The Wyoming libraries are now offering more than a thousand downloadable audio books from Recorded Books, LLC. (hosted on the Netlibrary web site) free of charge. Download up to 10 eAudiobooks, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. First time users must create an account on the Netlibrary site.
