The Big Piney Branch Library is located at 346 Fish Street and is the hub for many community activities. It offers a wide range of services including wireless internet, interlibrary loans, an ongoing book sale, art exhibits, children and adult activities, and meeting rooms.

New History Day Resources Available

The library has numerous resources available to students of all ages to enhance their History Day projects or increase their knowledge about Wyoming history. The 2010 theme is “Innovation in History: Impact and Change." As always, library staff members are available to assist you in using resources.

Aama's Journey: A Pilgrimage Between Continents and Cultures

A Talk by Broughton Coburn

In his talk, Broughton Coburn tells the story of an 84-year-old village woman from the Himalayas with no exposure to a Western civilization and her 1992 pilgrimage to this country. Broughton is an author involved with environmental conservation and development efforts in the Himalayas for three decades. This event is part of the Wyoming Humanities Council's 2010 Humanities Forum and is sponsored by Friends of the Big Piney Branch Library. Learn more about Broughton Coburn.

Story Hour on Thursdays

Every Thursday during the school year the Big Piney Branch Library hosts Story Hour for preschool children and elementary students. A variety of visitors come throughout the school year to entertain and teach the children. The library staff also prepares special meals a few times a year to celebrate holidays.
