The Big Piney Library is located at 106 Fish St. and is the hub for many community activities. It offers a wide range of services including wireless internet, interlibrary loans, an ongoing book sale, art exhibits, children and adult activities, and meeting rooms.

Writing Tool Box: A workshop for self exploration through journal writing

Journals offer more than a place to document events. The act of writing opens pathways between the body and the mind, between the unconscious and awareness. Gain a deepened understanding of yourself and your relationships and realize your possibilities through journal writing in this workshop. Bring a journal or paper and pen. Tina Welling is the author of the novel Cowboys Never Cry, and Crybaby Ranch, among other titles. She has been on the faculty of the Jackson Hole Writers Conference, where she gives talks and workshops. She also facilitates the Writers in the Park, writing workshops held during the summer months in Grand Teton National Park. Her work has won the Doubleday Award, plus two national awards and writer’s residencies.

fun at the Big Piney Libary
We've planned many exciting events to prevent the summer doldrums: a variety of weekly shows and activities on Tuesdays, Lego Thursdays, a book club and movies on Saturdays. There are even prizes for reading, including a brand new Kindle Fire!

The Pinedale Library

Tuesdays at 5 pm
Want a fun and relaxing activity to break up the weekly doldrums? Try knitting at the Big Piney Library on Tuesday evenings at 5 pm. Beginner as well as experienced knitters are welcome. Share tips and techniques, conversation and laughs. For more information, call the library at (307) 276-3515.
