Do you need general information, a date, fact or tidbit? Would you like an item to be placed aside for you? Ask us!

We can hold a library item aside for you, provide answers to simple requests for information, or direct you to web pages and other library resources to answer your questions.

There are three ways to ask us for help:
1. Stop in!
2. Telephone us at (307) 367-4114 during business hours.

Request for Information

How it works

When you email us at reference@sublettecountylibrary.org with a question, a member of library staff will read and respond to your request for information.

Staff members are not able to conduct lengthy research requests. Reference Service is free of charge, though minor charges for printing, copying or faxing may be incurred.

In your email message, please be as specific as possible, including:

Exactly what kind of information you need (news articles, a bibliography, etc.)

What level of information
(Elementary (grades K-6), Junior High (Grades 7-9), High School (Grades10-12), College level, Professional, etc.)

What sources of information you have already checked (internet, encyclopedias, other)

What you already know about the topic

Your contact info*
(Your name, phone number or email address, fax number or address. Please review your contact information. We will be unable to reach you if the information is incorrect.)

*We are happy to respond to local phone and fax numbers only.

We will try to respond to your request for information generally within 48 hours, permitting extra time during holiday weekends. Please feel free to call us at (307) 367-4114 during hours of operation in the meantime.

Reserve an Item

How it works

When you email us at circulation@sublettecountylibrary.org, a member of library staff will read your email, pull the requested item off the library shelves if it is available, and hold it at the Front Desk for you. You will receive a return email or phone call confirming this.

If the item has been checked out or is otherwise unavailable, library staff will place a hold on the item for you. You will receive a return email or phone call confirming this. When the item becomes available for you, library staff will then contact you again and hold it for you at the Front Desk.

You may also place a hold yourself on a Sublette County Library item through the library catalog. Have your library card number (ex: 29092...) and PIN number ready.

You may place an inter library loan (ILL) for a non-Sublette County Library item also through the library catalog. Have your library card number (ex: 29092...) and PIN number ready.

To have us reserve an item for you, please include:

Title and author of the item

Which type of item you would like
(book, book-on-tape, music CD, etc.)

Any other pertinent information

Your contact info
(Your name, phone number or email address. Please review your contact information. We will be unable to reach you if the information is incorrect.)

About Privacy

The nature of requests and identity of requesters will not be saved, recorded, or disseminated in any manner. The information requested may be discussed between staff members in an effort to provide the best service and accuracy. The identity of the person requesting the information will not be revealed as part of the discussion.
